GATINEAU, Quebec, September 16, 2011 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists of traffic disruptions on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge during the week of September 19, 2011.
One of the three Ottawa-bound (southbound) lanes will be closed daily from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, to Friday, September 23, 2011.
The western sidewalk will be completely closed starting 6:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, and ending 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2011.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
These lane reductions are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
PWGSC encourages users to exercise caution when in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
