GATINEAU, QUEBEC, Friday, September 2, 2011 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) would like to advise motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists of traffic disruptions on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge during the week of September 5, 2011.
One of the three Gatineau-bound (southbound) lanes will be closed daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, to Friday, September 9, 2011.
The Eastern sidewalk will be completely closed starting 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, and ending 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011.
The schedule may change due to inclement weather.
These lane reductions are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
PWGSC encourages users to exercise caution when in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
