GATINEAU, Quebec, October 14, 2011 - Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists that there will be sporadic lane reductions on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge between Ottawa and Gatineau from Monday, October 17, until Friday, October 28, inclusively.
The outside lane in the Ottawa-bound direction will be closed intermittently between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. In the Gatineau-bound direction, the intermittent closures will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
In each direction, only the lane nearest to the sidewalk will be closed.
These lane reductions are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages users to exercise caution when in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
