Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement on the results of the election in Newfoundland and Labrador:
“On October 11, 2011, the people of Newfoundland and Labrador elected Progressive Conservative Party leader Kathy Dunderdale to continue to serve as Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
“On behalf of our Government, I congratulate Premier Kathy Dunderdale and her team on their victory.
“I look forward to working with Ms. Dunderdale on issues that matter to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians and all Canadians, including the challenges posed by the current global economic climate.”
