GATINEAU, Quebec, November 22, 2011 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists that there will be sporadic lane reductions on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge between Ottawa and Gatineau from Wednesday, November 23, until Wednesday, December 7, inclusively.
The outside lane in the Ottawa-bound and Gatineau-bound directions will be closed intermittently between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
In each direction, only the lane nearest to the sidewalk will be closed.
These lane reductions are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages users to exercise caution when in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
