WINNIPEG — Transport Canada has reinstated Missinippi Airways' Air Operator Certificate following the approval and implementation of the company's corrective action plan. The reinstatement is effective immediately.
The corrective action plan addresses previously identified deficiencies in the company's Operational Control System. Transport Canada will closely monitor Missinippi Airways to verify that corrective actions are effective. Ongoing monitoring includes regular and no-notice inspections.
On October 21, 2011, Transport Canada suspended the company's Air Operator Certificate in the interest of public safety after a comprehensive review of inspection findings identified safety concerns.
