Today, we recognize the efforts of the countless volunteers, who generously give of their time, skills, and knowledge to help make our neighbourhoods, Canada, and the world a better place to live.
We built Canada on the values of compassion and giving of one's self for others. Canadians are our most important resource, which we share with others through our values, skills, and experience.
The world is a better place because of the spirit of volunteerism shared by all Canadians. The compassion of volunteers is an inspiration to all who work in international development.
