The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) is seeking public comment on the appropriateness of re-declaring routine projects at front country facilities in Jasper National Park as a designated class of recurring projects.
Projects that are part of a designated class of recurring projects undergo a specific type of environmental assessment called a class screening. Class screenings ensure consistent consideration of environmental effects for a class of projects and increase efficiency between the involved federal departments. The goal is to simplify the environmental assessment process of projects that are not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
The model class screening report (MCSR) “Routine Projects at Front Country Facilities in Jasper National Park” can be found in the Canadian Environmental Assessment Registry, on the Agency’s Web site at www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca. The report may also be obtained at the following locations:

Comments received by the Agency on or before Tuesday January 24, 2012 will be considered. All written submissions received will be considered public and will become part of the public registry. Interested persons are invited to send their comments in the official language of their choice to:
