Ottawa, January 23, 2012 – This year Montreal will be site of the second annual Translation Rights Fair, organized by the Canada Council for the Arts. This event brings together Canadian publishers and literary agents to help them buy and sell translation rights and hold discussions during one-on-one meetings throughout the day.
The Fair is funded under an agreement with the Department of Canadian Heritage through the National Translation Program for Book Publishing. The Canada Council provides funding to Canadian publishers to enrich their lists through its Book Publishing Support: Translation Grants program.

The role of the Canada Council for the Arts is to foster and promote the study and enjoyment of, and the production of works in, the arts.
