OTTAWA – Commander Bradley Peats, Commanding Officer of HMCS Vancouver will host a conference call on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, to provide a final update on the ship’s mission in the Mediterranean Sea prior to her return home.
What:
Commander Peats, Commanding Officer of HMCS Vancouver will make a brief statement addressing the following topics:
- HMCS Vancouver’s engagement in Operation UNIFIED PROTECTOR, the UN-sanctioned, NATO-led mission to protect the people of Libya;
- HMCS Vancouver’s participation in Operation ACTIVE ENDEAVOUR, the NATO counter-terrorism operation in the Mediterranean Sea and the Strait of Gibraltar;
- HMCS Vancouver’saccomplishments while deployed; and
- Importance and value of the Royal Canadian Navy working with allies.
Once Commander Peats has completed his statement, he will take questions on these topics.
