Montréal, Quebec, February 6, 2012 – The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm AV&R Vision & Robotics Inc. has been granted financial assistance from the Government of Canada for the international commercialization of its three-dimensional automated visual inspection solution for machined parts.

With this assistance, the enterprise will be able to take the necessary steps to bring its state-of-the-art product to export markets,”
says Minister Lebel.
AV&R Vision & Robotics specializes in complex automation projects. The company offers solutions in two leading-edge sectors of activity, namely the two-dimensional automated visual inspection of part surfaces and the robotic finishing and machining of parts, which allows for the automated performance of such operations as deburring, profiling and polishing. The firm’s latest solution, the result of extensive research and development, combines robotics with three-dimensional visual inspection. This new process will be commercialized first on foreign markets to enterprises operating in the aerospace industry.
This $350,000 in repayable financial assistance has been granted through Canada Economic Development’s Business and Regional Growth program.
