Ottawa — The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, will join Marie Lemay, Chief Executive Officer of the National Capital Commission, in the illumination ceremony of an ice sculpture to honour members of the Canadian Armed Forces who served in the Balkan States. The ceremony takes place as part of Winterlude 2012.

Major General (Ret’d) Lewis MacKenzie, who was the Commanding Officer of Sector Sarajevo in 1992, and Lieutenant General Peter Devlin, the current Commander of the Canadian Army, will speak at the event.
