Montréal, Quebec, February 29, 2012 — The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the Mouvement québécois de la qualité has been granted financial assistance to help support the activities of its new “performance networks” service.
“The Government of Canada applauds the efforts of the Mouvement québécois de la qualité, whose activities focus on promoting knowledge acquisition by enterprises in order to bolster their competitiveness and foster innovation,”
said Minister Lebel.
The mission of the Mouvement québécois de la qualité is to help improve the performance of its members by facilitating the evaluation and integration of best management practices. The organization set up eight performance network forums in the wake of the November 2011 Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d’affaires. These networks, created to promote continuous improvement, bring businesses together to share best quality practices and learn from their peers to improve their management and increase their productivity.
This $139,000 repayable contribution has been awarded under Canada Economic Development’s Business and Regional Growth program.
