Victoriaville, Quebec, March 27, 2012 – The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that M2M Lab Inc. has been granted financial assistance from the Government of Canada. This funding will enable the innovative firm to begin commercializing its products.
“In supporting the start-up of M2M Lab Inc., the Government of Canada is once again giving recognition to the fundamental role businesses play in creating jobs and growing the economy,” says Minister Lebel.
The mission of M2M Lab Inc. is to collect and analyze physiological and metabolic data with a view to maximizing human body performance. The firm’s target clientele includes individuals who are engaged in physically-demanding jobs that require considerable exertion, most notably military personnel and professional athletes. From its laboratory, M2M Lab Inc. is able to monitor and assess the real-time performance of these individuals, wherever they are in the world.
The company intends to use this assistance from Canada Economic Development to acquire leading-edge laboratory equipment and showcase its innovative technology by taking part in specialty trade fairs.
This financial assistance, granted in the form of a $39,000 repayable contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development’s Business and Regional Growth program.
