[Lift bridge will be closed on Friday, April 20 to test the lift function; closed to road traffic until further notice]

HAMILTON, Ontario, April 19, 2012 – On Friday, April 20, the bridge will be lowered from 3:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to minimize disruption to marine traffic and allow for testing. Following the tests, the bridge will be lifted to allow marine passage to resume. The bridge remains closed to all road traffic.
PWGSC is working to resume road service with a limited lift schedule within the week.
As the situation develops, updates will be posted.
