Québec, Quebec, May 22, 2012 – The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announces that five Québec City firms, namely, CorActive High-Tech Inc., Gentec Inc., Solutions Caristix Inc., Teksho Inc., and MWE Lab (6997732 Canada Inc.), have been granted financial assistance to stimulate their growth.
“The economy and job creation are key priorities for the Government of Canada,” said Minister Lebel. “The financial contribution to these five enterprises illustrates our firm commitment to supporting firms that develop strategies to expand their markets, notably internationally, and are thereby creating wealth and prosperity in their regions.”
The financial assistance awarded to these small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will enable them to bring innovative products to market more quickly, develop new markets and be more competitive in the global marketplace.
These government contributions, which total $899,000 in repayable funding, have been awarded under Canada Economic Development’s Business and Regional Growth program. They are part of an overall investment of $3,162,000.
