GATINEAU, Quebec, May 11, 2012 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists that there will be sporadic lane reductions on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge between Ottawa and Gatineau Saturday, May 12, and Sunday, May 13, inclusively.
The outside right lane in the Ottawa-bound direction will be closed intermittently between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and the same will apply to the outside right lane in the Gatineau-bound direction.
Pedestrians will be affected by sidewalk closures in the Ottawa- and Gatineau-bound directions.
These lane reductions are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages users to exercise caution when in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
