Saint-Jean-de-Dieu, Quebec, July 23, 2012 – The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Bélisle Industries Inc. of Saint-Jean-de-Dieu, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, has been granted financial assistance to raise its productivity and thereby strengthen its competitive standing.
“This is yet another example of the Government of Canada’s commitment to helping enterprises that, like Bélisle Industries Inc., are making the necessary investments to improve their productivity,” said Minister Lebel.
Bélisle Industries is an innovative firm in the metals processing sector that specializes in the design and manufacture of moulds and the precision machining of parts. To pursue its growth, the enterprise is undertaking a major investment project involving the acquisition of high-performance equipment to improve its manufacturing processes. The company will acquire, among other things, two machining centres for the manufacture of moulds and patterns, and two others for the mass tooling of industrial parts.
This assistance, granted in the form of a $600,000 repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development’s Business and Regional Growth program.
