GATINEAU, Quebec, August 14, 2012 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians of a lane reduction and sidewalk closure on both the Ontario and Quebec portions of the Timiskaming Dam.
The east-bound lane will be reduced between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15 and Thursday, August 16. During this time, traffic will use a single lane, altered and controlled by traffic control personnel.
Motorists can expect delays, and pedestrians will be affected by a sidewalk closure.
This lane reduction is necessary to conduct general inspections on the dam.
The work schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages users to exercise caution when in the work zone and thanks them for their patience.
