Ottawa, Ontario — The Honourable Tony Clement, President of the Treasury Board and Minister responsible for FedNor, today welcomed the release of the Auditor General's 2012 Fall Report.
"I would like to thank the Auditor General and his office for their dedication and hard work," said Minister Clement. "Canadians can be assured that our Government takes the Auditor General's recommendations very seriously. We have accepted all of his recommendations and in many cases have already begun acting on them."
The Auditor General's findings demonstrate the continued efforts by the Government of Canada to modernize and reduce the costs of operations, to find better ways do to business and to ensure the sound management of tax dollars.
"Our Government is committed to ensuring that effective and efficient programs and services are provided to Canadians," said Minister Clement. "We share the Auditor General's commitment to promoting government effectiveness and efficiency."
