Ottawa (November 27, 2012) — The RCMP is hosting the first ever STOP Grow-Op Summit, where a coalition of community, industry and government groups will gather to share best practices on increasing public awareness about the societal hazards of marihuana grow operations and clan labs, and to advocate for a national approach aimed at helping prevent, detect, and deter such criminal acts.
Collectively, they will form the National Council against Marihuana Grow Operations and Clandestine Laboratories. Media will learn about the membership of the Council and hear from the Chair and Vice Chair about their main priorities. There will also be a variety of visuals and information sheets to take away.
