OTTAWA—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will be in Montréal on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. During his visit, he will present the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award to deserving Canadians from various walks of life. He will also deliver a keynote address at the Canada Chinese Business Council’s (CCBC) 34th Annual General Meeting & Policy Conference.

Presentation of the Diamond Jubilee Medal and Caring Canadian Award
During this ceremony, the Diamond Jubilee Medal will be presented to nine recipients who have dedicated themselves to their fellow citizens, their community and their country. The Caring Canadian Award will also be presented to 24 recipients who have volunteered their time to help others and to build a smarter, more caring nation.
The names of the Caring Canadian Award recipients and their citations are attached. The names and citations of the Diamond Jubilee Medal recipients will be released on the day of the ceremony.
