OTTAWA, Ontario, December 12, 2012 – The Government of Canada will provide information on key elements of its Seven-Point Plan on replacing Canada’s fighter jets. Six documents will be released.

A media lock-up will be held to allow reporters to review the documents prior to release. Senior officials will explain the documents. Reporters will then be able to ask questions. They will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement upon arrival. Photo ID must be shown.
Reporters must respect the media embargo until it is lifted at 3:15 p.m. Journalists will then be allowed to leave the media lock-up. Cell phones, wireless handheld devices (e.g. BlackBerry), pagers and other electronic devices must be left with the staff upon arrival.
Laptop users must disable wireless capabilities prior to arrival. Internet access will be available once the embargo is lifted.
