OTTAWA—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will take part in the opening ceremony of Winterlude on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 7 p.m., at Marion Dewar Plaza at Ottawa City Hall. During the ceremony, His Excellency will deliver brief remarks.
The multi-sensory evening will feature musical performances, aerial dancers, interactive projections, a public art illumination display, pyrotechnic effects and a DJ dance party with Ottawa’s own A Tribe Called Red. Visitors can also bring their skates and experience the Rink of Dreams.
