Ottawa, Ontario – Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement after Kathleen Wynne was confirmed as the Premier-Designate of Ontario:
"On behalf of our Government, I congratulate Premier-Designate Wynne on her election as Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party.
"I look forward to working with Ms. Wynne on addressing issues that matter to Ontarians, and in particular the creation of jobs and economic growth.
"I would also like to thank the outgoing Premier for his service to Ontario, especially his work with our Government on implementing Canada's Economic Action Plan."
