GATINEAU, Quebec, March 25, 2013 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians of a lane and sidewalk closure on the Ontario portion of the Timiskaming Dam.
The eastbound lane and the sidewalk will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from Tuesday, March 26, to Thursday, March 28, 2013.
During this time, traffic in both directions will use a single lane, alternated and controlled by traffic control personnel.
Pedestrians will be redirected by traffic control personnel during the temporary sidewalk closure.
Motorists and pedestrians should expect to encounter brief delays.
The lane and sidewalk closure on the Ontario portion of the dam is necessary to perform general maintenance.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages users to exercise caution when traveling in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
