OTTAWA— His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will attend a Canadian Forces Appreciation Night hosted by the Ottawa Senators on Monday, April 22, 2013, at 7:30 p.m., at Scotiabank Place.
On this occasion, His Excellency, as Commander-in-Chief, and Vice-Admiral Bruce Donaldson, Vice-Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Forces, will participate in the ceremonial puck drop at the beginning of the Ottawa Senators’ game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Canadian Forces Appreciation Night is an annual event that publicly thanks and recognizes the soldiers, sailors, airmen and airwomen of our Canadian Forces.
