Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, Quebec, April 11, 2013 – Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière–Chutes-de-la-Chaudière, today announced that the firm Sixpro Inc. has been granted financial assistance to increase its production capacity by improving productivity.
“In assisting Sixpro Inc. with the acquisition of equipment, the Government of Canada is showing proof once again of its commitment to investing in projects that help bring about economic growth,”
said Mr. Gourde.
Founded in 1982, Sixpro Inc. has positioned itself over the years as a strategic subcontractor in the Quebec metal coating industry. The firm specializes in, among other things, the application of electrostatic paint, liquid, thermoplastic and electroplated coatings to parts of all dimensions. Canada Economic Development has been a long-time partner in the growth of Sixpro Inc. The financial assistance announced today will be used to acquire manufacturing equipment and the necessary operating software. A storage dome will also be built.
“The Government of Canada remains focused on four priorities, as outlined by the Prime Minister, that Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and of course, their personal financial security,”
Mr. Gourde concluded.
This assistance, granted in the form of a $400,000 repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development’s Quebec Economic Development Program.
