Longueuil, Quebec, May 2, 2013 – For his final live connection with Earth before returning home, Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Astronaut Chris Hadfield will sing along with hundreds of students gathered at the Ontario Science Centre for Music Monday. They will perform I.S.S. (Is Somebody Singing), a song Hadfield co-wrote with Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies, which was commissioned by the Coalition for Music Education and CBC Music.
Hadfield will be joined by hundreds of thousands of students across Canada taking part in Music Monday to raise awareness about the importance of music education; please use this interactive map to locate the participating schools near you.
CSA Astronaut Jeremy Hansen will be present on-site and will moderate the students' questions to Commander Hadfield. For a complete program of the performances, please visit the Music Monday website.
Media representatives are invited to attend the event.
Journalists who cannot be on-site can watch the live webcast on the CSA website.
