GATINEAU, Quebec, May 24, 2013 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians of a lane reduction and sidewalk closure on the Ontario portion of the Timiskaming Dam.
The east-bound lane will be closed from May 27 to July 5, 2013. During this time, traffic will use a single lane, alternating directions and controlled by traffic lights.
Motorists can expect delays and pedestrians will be directed to a temporary sidewalk.
This lane reduction is necessary to conduct repairs on the gas pipelines located under the bridge deck.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages users to exercise caution when travelling in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
