Deanna Muise (BCom, CA, TEP) is a graduate of the University of Alberta in Commerce and, since 1990, has been a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, where she was named to the Vic Dzurko Honor Roll. She has also completed the CICA's In-Depth Tax Program and courses focused specifically on Aboriginal taxation.
Ms Muise is a tax partner with Kingston Ross Pasnak Chartered Accountants LLP, where she provides taxation services to the firm’s clients, including corporate reorganizations, estate and business planning, and corporate and personal tax issues. She has been practicing in the area of taxation for the past 23 years. Ms Muise has taught courses to students enrolled in Chartered Accountants programs, guest lectured at her alma mater, the University of Alberta, and presented a paper on family succession planning at the Legal Education Society of Alberta. Ms Muise has sat on the Tax Panel for the 2011 Prairie Provinces Tax Conference (PPTC), presented a paper at the 2013 PPTC and has presented numerous tax seminars to the general public as well the Canadian Bar Association, legal firms and clients.
