OTTAWA—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will deliver the opening address at the final Canada 150/2017 Starts Now Conference on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 9:30 a.m., at the Canadian War Museum, in Ottawa.
On this occasion, the Governor General will speak about the challenges and opportunities facing Canada as we approach the 150th anniversary of Confederation, as well as of the great potential this milestone represents.
Organized by CBC/Radio-Canada, Community Foundations of Canada and VIA Rail Canada, and co-hosted by CBC’s Evan Solomon and Radio-Canada’s Emmanuelle Latraverse, this event will summarize what has been learned throughout the Canada 150/2017 Starts Now series of conferences.
