Ottawa, June 6, 2013 - The public warning issued on May 25, 2013 has been updated to include additional products.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Sequel Naturals Ltd. are warning people with allergies to milk not to consume the Vega® brand bars described below. The affected products may contain milk which is not declared on the label.
There has been one reported allergic reaction.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.
The distributor, Sequel Naturals Ltd., Burnaby, BC, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
