GATINEAU, Quebec, July 26, 2013 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise pedestrians that the pedestrian boardwalk on the Alexandra Bridge will be closed to users from 9:00 to 3:00 on Saturday, July 27, 2013. The bridge will remain open to vehicular traffic during this time.
The closure is necessary to accommodate the Red Bull Flugtag event taking place at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who will be monitoring the closure, will grant emergency access only throughout the day.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages pedestrians to use the Portage Bridge during this time and thanks them for their patience.
