Val-d’Or, Quebec, July 22, 2013 – The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announces that the firm Arkys Web Software Inc. has been awarded financial assistance to bring to market its Skeye Aviation Systems software suite.
“The funding we are announcing to Arkys Web Software Inc. today illustrates the Government of Canada’s determination to take effective measures to stimulate growth and employment and to strengthen the competitiveness of the Canadian economy,” said Minister Lebel.
Arkys Web Software specializes in computer network programming and administration. It also designs, develops and markets specialized computer applications. This financial support will facilitate implementation of its Skeye suite commercialisation strategy, which will include participation in trade shows, international prospecting and the hire of a director of market development. The company’s officers expect that this project will result in the creation of 10 jobs, bringing significant economic benefits to the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
This financial assistance, granted in the form of a $450,000 repayable contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development’s Quebec Economic Development Program.
