GATINEAU, Quebec, August 2, 2013 — Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians of sidewalk closures and lane reductions on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge during nighttime hours, from Monday, August 5 until Thursday, August 15, 2013, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
The upstream sidewalk (Ontario-bound) will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists on Monday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 6, 2013, while the downstream sidewalk (Quebec-bound) will be closed on Wednesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 8, 2013.
Lane reductions will affect the Ontario-bound lanes on Monday, August 12 and Tuesday, August 13, 2013, and the Quebec-bound lanes on Wednesday, August 14 and Thursday, August 15, 2013.
These sidewalk closures and lane reductions are necessary to conduct general repairs on the bridge.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
