Ottawa – His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will deliver an address at a luncheon meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa, on Friday, September 6, 2013, at 12 p.m., at the Fairmont Château Laurier, in Ottawa.
"As we approach the 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017, I am honoured to address the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa about how they can contribute to this celebration," said His Excellency. "I am especially looking forward to discovering how these members of our smart and caring community are helping our nation's capital today, and their ideas and plans for the coming years."
