GATINEAU, Quebec, September 6, 2013 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians of sidewalk closures and lane reductions on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge during daytime hours from September 9th until October 18th, 2013.
One sidewalk is to be closed at a time, as well as the closest lane adjacent to the sidewalk.
The Gatineau-bound lane adjacent to the sidewalk will be closed from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. and the Ottawa-bound lane adjacent to the sidewalk will be closed from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The sidewalk closures and lane reductions are necessary to conduct sidewalk repairs on the bridge.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada encourages users to exercise caution when travelling in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
