In October 2013, Ben Kovic was appointed to his second term as Chair of the Nunavut Wildlife Management Board (NWMB).
Mr. Kovic previously held the same position from 1994 to 2004. He has devoted over 25 years to wildlife management and administration in a variety of occupations, including positions within the Government of Nunavut.
Mr. Kovic was President of the Baffin Fisheries Coalition in 2004–2007 before joining the Government of Nunavut. He has extensive work experience in policymaking and research in wildlife environmental assessment.
Mr. Kovic resides in Iqaluit, Nunavut, and is fluent in Inuktitut.
