Ottawa— His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will attend a Canadian Forces Appreciation Night hosted by the Ottawa Senators on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Canadian Tire Centre.
On this occasion, His Excellency, as Commander-in-Chief, and General Tom Lawson, Chief of the Defence Staff, will participate in the ceremonial puck drop at the beginning of the Ottawa Senators’ game against the Dallas Stars.
Canadian Forces Appreciation Night is an annual event that publicly thanks and recognizes the soldiers, sailors, airmen and airwomen of our Canadian Forces.
