Longueuil, Quebec, November 21, 2013 – On November 22, the three satellites that form the Swarm constellation will be launched from Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia. This mission is part of the European Space Agency (ESA) Earth Explorer program.
The Swarm mission aims to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Earth's magnetic field. The fleet of three satellites will use the Canadian Electric Field Instrument (EFI) developed by the University of Calgary and built by COM DEV.
