Ottawa – The Honorable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, will participate in a Remembrance Day activity organized by Operation Veteran. Minister Fantino will join Veterans, officer cadets from military colleges and representatives from the Royal Canadian Legion for this event to raise awareness among some 250 young people gathered for the occasion.
The National Capital Unit of the Korea Veterans Association of Canada (KVA) holds this annual commemorative ceremony in Ottawa at the same time as the Remembrance Day ceremony at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan, Republic of Korea.
Veterans’ Week is a time for Canadians to come together to honour those who have sacrificed so much to make our world a safer place.
