Ottawa – Parm Gill, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs, will attend the 18th annual Veterans Appreciation Day at the Billings Bridge Centre to honour local Veterans as part of Veterans’ Week 2013.
Veterans’ Week is a time for Canadians to come together to honour those who have sacrificed so much to make our world a safer place. This Veterans’ Week, show you remember by attending a Remembrance Day ceremony, visiting a local cenotaph or monument, sharing the story of a loved one who served, and wearing a poppy with pride.
