HAMILTON, Ontario, December 10, 2013 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists of a lane closure on the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge, located in Hamilton, Ontario. The southbound curb lane of the bridge is closed until further notice, effective December 10, 2013. Motorists travelling towards Hamilton via Eastport Drive can anticipate minor delays.
This lane closure will allow necessary repairs to the roadway of the bridge.
Safety is a top priority for PWGSC and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience this lane closure may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.
