OTTAWA—Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will attend a commemorative ceremony for the late Paul G. Desmarais, P.C., C.C., O.Q. He was promoted to Companion of the Order of Canada in 1986, after being invested as Officer in 1978.
The ceremony will be held at the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montréal, located at 110 Notre-Dame Street West, on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at 3 p.m.
