Ottawa – The Honourable Tony Clement, President of the Treasury Board, introduced the Supply Bill for the Supplementary Estimates (B), 2013–14 in the House of Commons yesterday evening.
As outlined in the Supplementary Estimates (B), 2013–14, 62 organizations seek $5.4 billion in voted appropriations through this bill.
Once supply bills are approved by Parliament and receive Royal Assent, they become law in the form of appropriation acts. The Government of Canada uses appropriation acts to authorize payments from the Consolidated Revenue Fund for government programs and services.
