Ottawa, Ontario - 6 December 2013 Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced the following change in the senior ranks of the Public Service:
Hélène Laurendeau, currently Senior Vice-President, Policy Branch, Public Service Commission of Canada, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, effective December 11, 2013.
The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to thank Marie-Lucie Morin, Executive Director for Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean at the World Bank and Senior Advisor to the Privy Council Office, on the occasion of her upcoming retirement from the Public Service at the end of December 2013. The Prime Minister praised the outstanding contributions made by Ms. Morin over a 33 year career, during which she showed exemplary leadership, remarkable dedication and the highest commitment to excellence in representing Canada and serving Canadians.
