Andrew Saxton, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance and Member of Parliament for North Vancouver, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, was pleased to announce today that the Government of Canada has awarded a contract to North Vancouver company Aurora Control Technologies Inc. for its innovation, the Decima CI, through the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP).
The Decima CI is a device used for quality control in the production of solar cells and other solar equipment. It scans and maps the surface of solar cells while they are still on the production line to provide optimal solar cell quality.
This device can be used by solar research institutes, solar cell producers and solar equipment manufacturers to improve control of equipment and reduce costs associated with the production of solar cells. The value of the contract awarded to Aurora Control Technologies Inc. is $134,844.82.
