KINGSTON, Ontario, January 17, 2014 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians that the LaSalle Causeway will be closed on January 18 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
The closure is required to accommodate a series of precise measurements of the lift bridge when it is supporting weight. The schedule may change due to inclement weather or logistical requirements.
Safety is a top priority for PWGSC and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.
