Metal products manufacturer EPP Métal Inc. acquires cutting-edge equipment to better meet demand

January 27, 2014 – Plessisville, Quebec – Canada Economic Development

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Christian Paradis, Member of Parliament for Mégantic–L’Érable, Minister of International Development and Minister for La Francophonie, announces that EPP Métal Inc. has been granted financial support that will help the firm increase its productivity and manufacturing capacity.

This assistance has been awarded in the form of a $280,000 repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development’s Quebec Economic Development Program.

The contribution from Canada Economic Development will serve, in part, for the acquisition of a laser cutting machine within the framework of a $1.5 million overall investment project. This state-of-the-art equipment will enable EPP Métal Inc. to bolster its productivity and manufacturing capabilities. The enterprise will also expand its facilities in order to diversify its production and ensure its continued competitiveness in the metallurgy sector.
EPP Métal Inc. specializes in the mass production of value-added steel, aluminium and stainless steel parts from metal sheets and coils. The company offers turnkey services that include all stages of the manufacturing process, from laser cutting and digital control bending to welding, mechanical assembly, stamping, painting and plating. Its clientele consists mainly of enterprises operating in the industrial products, ground transportation, construction, electronics, commercial and home furnishings, and environment industries.
